Basic Handgun Course

If you are new to handguns or not sure about guns, the Basic Pistol Course is a course for you This course specifically addresses the concerns of someone who has little to no experience with a handgun It is conducted at a pace to make you feel comfortable and confident in you ability to properly handle, care for, and fire the gun when needed The goal is for you to feel confident in your ability to handle your firearm safely and to accurately shoot Cost: $140 It is recommended you have your own handgun You may use one of my handguns Additional $30 and 1 box of ammo $20 for each additional box of ammo) Description: This is a course designed for the shooter who wants to learn or brush up on the basic concepts of handgun marksmanship. This course includes but is not limited to the following: Firearms and Range Safety Handgun Nomenclature Care and Maintenance Types of Ammunition and Considerations Safe Loading & Unloading of a Handgun Introduction to Shooting Fundamentals Discussion of Applicable Laws and Lethal Force Range Exercise/Shooting Drills
Class Hours/What Do I need To Bring: Approximately 5 hours Semi-automatic handgun or a revolver in good repair (unloaded and in a case) Baseball Cap Impact Resistant Safety Glasses (Can Be Provided) Ear Protection (Can Be Provided) Footwear that covers both entire feet At least 100 rounds of ammunition specific to the handgun (I charge $20 for each box of ammo) ******** Only commercial ammunition is allowed. If Hot Brass falls into your shirt Maintain control of the firearm Put firearm down on the ground or bench (if necessary) Bend Over Grab shirt/bra and pull away from the body Clear the brass
